  I don&#39;t know if this would work, but soaking in &lt;br&gt; pure water might help. Pickled vegetables have &lt;br&gt; a lot of salt, and the water should tend to be &lt;br&gt; drawn into the vegetables to dilute that salt. &lt;br&gt; That might make them crispier.
