  I belive Gwil. Games wrote an article on this for Machenalia a few &lt;br&gt; issues back - in the Poe one I think. The story is has referances to &lt;br&gt; superfical (not that that means it is bad) themes in Machen than the &lt;br&gt; Machen story itself. I think there might be a Haunter of the Dark name &lt;br&gt; drop as well. In the end old Lovecraft may be the guy winning through.
